SHE can usually be found with pale white skin, dark eyeliner and black lipstick.

But when it comes to meeting her boyfriend’s dad, one woman has explained how she is able to “un-goth” herself in 10 minutes flat.

She took to TikTok to share a video of herself in which she demonstrated the process, which began by taking her jewellery off and brushing her backcombed hair.

“POV: I have 10 minutes to un-goth before I meet my fiance’s dad,” she wrote over the top.

She then clipped back her fringe and began the process of removing her make-up.

“Yes, I know make-up wipes are bad. I don’t wanna hear it!” she wrote over the top.

She began by wiping off her dark lipstick, before removing her eye make-up and foundation.

Next up was cleaning her teeth and putting moisturiser on, before changing into her “fit” for the meeting – a black vest top and denim shorts.

She then started applying her everyday make-up, with the routine consisting of foundation, brow pencil and black flicked out eyeliner.

“World’s fastest brow and liner application,” she laughed.

She added some brown lipliner and finished brushing out her hair and putting on her glasses.

“I was ZOOMING,” she captioned the video.

People were quick to comment on the clip, with one writing: “You’re actually really really pretty without all the goth stuff!”

“Why you go goth? you look pretty!” another added.

To which the woman replied: “Because I’m goth!”

“You look way better just clean! Stay so pretty!” a third commented.

“Hate how some people are giving you such backhanded compliments, you look so cute in both styles,” someone else added.

But others insisted she looked just as pretty when she was goth as she did “ungothed”.

“From a 10/10 to a 10/10,” one wrote.

“You’re pretty with goth or without – I don’t know why everyone is tryna make you not be goth,” another added.

What makes someone a goth?

THEY might stand out from the crowd with their make-up, but what else makes a goth, a goth?

The dictionary defines a goth as “a person who listens to or performs goth music, wears mostly black clothing, uses black and white make-up, and often has dyed black hair”.

However, the website WhatisGoth.com explains that a goth is “someone who finds beauty in things others consider dark”.

The site also says that goths don’t always wear black, are not part of a cult and have different beliefs and religions, and “generally love mythology, the mysterious, the supernatural, culture, traditions, romanticism and nature”.

With the woman responding: “Because that’s what normies do.

“They get uncomfortable when someone is different and they try to change them.”

“You’re so pretty in goth or no goth..how do you do that?” someone else said.

And others found issue with the woman’s decision to remove her goth make-up to meet her man’s relatives.

“If you have to change who you are then that mean HES NOT THE ONE,” one raged.

“So they know it’s a bad look?? Yet they decide to keep presenting them selves as that?” another asked.

“It’s subjective,” the woman responded.

“I don’t think it’s a bad look, but there is a time and a place for it.”

“Why?? you’re gorgeous, why change?” a third questioned.

“Wanted to make a good first impression! His dad is super chill but I wanted to play it safe,” she replied.
