Report: 27-year-old Premier League defender is now on Tottenham’s radar

According to Tottenham Insider Paul O’Keefe, the Lilywhites could make a move for Wolves centre-back Max Kilman this summer.

Spurs are looking to add another central defender to their squad this summer, with Ange Postecoglou himself admitting that he wants more reinforcements to his backline ahead of next season (Football.London).

A whole host of central defenders have been mooted as targets for Tottenham over the last couple of months.

These include Torino’s Alessandro Buongiorno (CalcioMercato), Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori (CaughtOffside), Everton Jarrad Branthwaite (Daily Mail) and Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo (GFFN).

Spurs are interested in Wolves’ Max Kilman

O Keefe has now said on the Last Word on Spurs podcast that Wolves captain Max Kilman is also another name on Postecogolou’s transfer wishlist.

The 27-year-old has four years left on his contract at Molineux Stadium but according to O’Keefe, Tottenham might look to bring him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

This is not the first time Kilman has been mooted as a target for Spurs, with reports indicating last summer that the club viewed the left-footed defender as a potential alternative to Micky van de Ven (TMW).

We know that Tottenham’s interest in Kilman is long-standing and the fact that the Wolves star is left-footed and homegrown would be a big boost to the North London club.

However, it remains to be seen if the 27-year-old would be keen on the move as he will know that he is not likely to start too many matches at N17.
