Will withdraw notification on acquiring land for Sabarimala airport: Kerala govt to HC

The Kerala government will withdraw preliminary land acquisition notifications for the Sabarimala Greenfield airport in Kottayam district. The government will conduct a new Social Impact Assessment (SIA) study through a different agency following a court plea by Ayana Charitable Trust. Justice Viju Abraham closed the petition, allowing all contentions, with the government stating the airport will benefit pilgrims and boost the economy, having received site and defence clearance from the Centre.
