"Was this a one time job? We don't know," Logan Co. deputies need help identifying burglary suspect
LOGAN COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) — Logan County deputies said they've been searching for a thief for months, but leads have run dry.
Officials say someone made off with big, heavy and expensive equipment.
"It's a possibility that the thief was probably roaming the area looking for items of opportunity," said Alex Poe, an investigator with the Logan Co. Sheriff's Office.
Much of the land is tucked away behind locked gates and no trespassing signs. Investigators said that isn't stopping the thefts.
The property owner sent News 4 these surveillance photos of someone officials want to identify.
On April 5th, around 2:00 a.m., the suspect can be seen armed with a flashlight scoping out the area. Five hours later, he appears again.
A generator, dirt bike, lawn mower, tools, fishing equipment, and ammunition was all stolen. The value is anywhere from $5,000-$10,000.
"Are these regular thieves? Was this a one time job? We don't know," said Poe.
These are the only pictures of the items that were stolen, along with the only pictures of the suspect.
"We're asking the public if they can recognize this guy," said Poe.
If you recognize him, call Logan county at 405-282-4100 and ask for investigator Poe.
