‘Absolutely lush’, cry Home Bargains shoppers as they clear shelves of 69p essential product down from £2.50
HOME Bargains shoppers have been clearing the shelves of a £2.50 essential product reduced down to 69p.
The variety store chain has slashed its prices on Robinsons Immunity Orange & Guava Squash and customers have barely been able to contain themselves.
With the sun finally shining across the UK this week, there’s no better time to ensure you’re topped up on fluids and keeping hydrated.
And sipping on something sweet like Robinsons Squash is the perfect way to enjoy the recent fine weather.
So when one ecstatic customer posted the big reveal on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook, it didn’t take long for shoppers and squash lovers to go into overdrive.
Uploading an image of her recently purchased 750ml bottle of Robinsons Immunity Orange & Guava Squash, the group member said it was “well worth the price”.
“69p in Home Bargains, Telford. Absolutely lush!” she said.
“It’s only a 750ml bottle, so smaller than your average squash, but well worth the price. Just what we need for this humidity! I will be going back for more tomorrow.”
It’s safe to say she won’t be the only one heading to their nearest Home Bargains store to take advantage of the super sweet deal.
Some customers have already set aside time in their day tomorrow to grab a bottle of squash at the reduced price for themselves.
“Ooo (I’ll) have a look for this tomorrow. Go through loads with kids,” said one.
Another commenter on the post even said that supermarket chain Heron Foods are also selling the same product for the same reduced price of 69p – so it might be worth double checking there too.
In comparison with other places, however, Home Bargains are way ahead of everyone else in terms of how much they’re charging for the sought-after squash.
Ocado, for example, are flogging the same 750ml bottle for £2.50 – a 72 per cent increase on Home Bargains.
Asda are slightly better off at £1.75, although its still not as cheap as the variety store chain.
Tesco are also flogging the same product for £2.50, although Clubcard members can purchase it for £1.75.
It comes as chocolate fans have been sent into meltdown after a popular discontinued treat was spotted on shop shelves.
The fan-favourite Milky Way Crispy Rolls appear to have made their long awaited return to the UK after arriving in Home Bargain stores.
Elsewhere, a major supermarket is selling Cadbury Freddos for their original price of 10p – but you’ll have to be quick if you want to grab a few.
