King Charles Is Reportedly Indecisive About His Prince Harry Feud Because of This Royal Influence

It’s still hard to believe that the royal family didn’t bother to show up to Prince Harry’s 10th anniversary celebration of the Invictus Games in May. King Charles III and the rest of the senior royals were just down the street at a garden party. Well, that decision to not attend may not have been made by the king, he is apparently being influenced by another member of his family — and it’s getting awkward.

Queen Camilla, who Us Weekly is describing as King Charles’ “fiercest ally” and “deeply influential” adviser, might be behind the prolonged feud with his youngest son. “Camilla dislikes Harry and doesn’t want Charles to get stressed while he’s undergoing treatment, so she tries to limit interaction,” a palace insider told the outlet. This situation has created a problem for the king because he’s “hugely conflicted” about his loyalty to his wife and Harry. Yet he’s still “holding out hope of salvaging their relationship .”

In his 2023 memoir, Spare, the Duke of Sussex revealed his and Prince William’s reluctance to see their father marry the other woman. It was a source of pain for them since Camilla was the third party who came between Charles and the late Princess Diana. “Despite Willy and me urging him not to, Pa was going ahead. We pumped his hand, wished him well. No hard feelings,” he wrote. “We recognized that he was finally going to be with the woman he loved, the woman he’d always loved.”

Christopher Andersen, author of The King: The Life of Charles III, told Us Weekly that both Harry and William “felt betrayed” after Charles broke “his promise not to make her queen.” While the brothers wished their father well, the Duke of Sussex indicated in his January 2023 with Good Morning America that all was not fine behind the scenes. “She’s my stepmother. I don’t look at her as an evil stepmother,” he expelled. “I see someone who married into this institution and has done everything that she can to improve her own reputation and her own image, for her own sake.”

Queen Camilla is notorious for cozying up to the Royal Rota, especially “openly hostile” members of the press like Piers Morgan and Jeremy Clarkson, who have said vile things about Meghan Markle.
