If you have a Vitamix blender, there’s a recall you need to know about
Vitamix on Thursday issued a voluntary recall for various Ascent and Venturist Series blender components: the 8-ounce blending containers, 20-ounce blending containers, and blade bases. There's a potentially serious risk that the 20-ounce Blending Cups and 8-ounce Blending Bowls might separate from the blade base. This will expose the blades and could lead to laceration accidents.
According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the new Vitamix recall is a renouncement of a 2018 recall. Vitamix has received 27 reports of lacerations, including 11 from the original recall in 2018.
