Secret recording catches Giuliani fantasizing about living with girlfriend and her husband

In recordings that are at the center of a $10 million sexual harassment suit filed against Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor, describes having an affair with a longtime employee who is married and suggested that they could eventually get married, and her then ex-husband could live with them.

According to a report from Newsweek, in the recording that is part of the lawsuit filed by former employee Noelle Dunphy, Giuliani admitted to her that he had an "affair" with Maria Ryan, president of Giuliani Communications and the co-host on his "Uncovering the Truth" radio show and podcast.

The relationship between the two is not only at the center of the harassment lawsuit but also the bankruptcy proceedings that have swamped the former Trump lawyer, who owes approximately $153 million to creditors — including a massive $148 million owed to two Georgia pollworkers a court ruled he defamed.

Ryan has insisted there is no romantic history between the two of them.

As Newsweek is now reporting, Giuliani seems to think there is or was.

According to the report, in the transcript, Giuliani is quoted saying, "So, I had Thanksgiving dinner with them again. Bob [Ryan] made Thanksgiving dinner for me. Then last Sunday, Maria got sick for about four days and she was in the hospital...You know who took her home from the hospital? Bob and me."

He went on to claim that Maria Ryan stated they could someday get married before adding, "'If we get married, could Bob live —could Bob live with us? You seem — the two of you seem to get along so well."

"But this is the weirdest f------ thing. We've had this, like, affair for two years and I'm friendly with her husband. Can't even figure it out," he confessed.

Asked for a statement, Maria Ryan asserted, "I am not his girlfriend. I consider him one of my best friends."

Michael Ragusa, Giuliani's head of security, also denied anything untoward was going on, stating, "Dr. Maria Ryan is Mayor Giuliani's business partner and nothing more. Any reports of her being his girlfriend are false rumors made up by the mayor's enemies to damage his reputation and anyone associated with him."
