Arrests made in 2023 Marksville murder case
MARKSVILLE, La. (KLFY) – Four suspects were arrested in connection to the 2023 murder of a Marksville woman.
According to the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Department (APSO), 911 received a report in October of 2023 about a body found in the Blue Town Community north of Marksville. Sheriff’s deputies found the body of the unknown female in a wooded area near a field. An investigation with the assistance of the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab, the body was positively identified as Ashley Beauclair, 38 of Marksville.
Further investigation by APSO resulted in the identification of the suspects involved. On Tuesday, deputies arrested three suspects in connection to the death.

- Keion Joseph Roy, 29 of Moreauville - Criminal conspiracy and Obstruction of justice
- Sophie Mae Badeaux, 24 of Marksville - Criminal conspiracy and Obstruction of justice
Thursday morning, another suspect was arrested in connection to the case.
- Morgan Lin Heims, 20 of Branson, Missouri - Criminal conspiracy and Obstruction of justice
Dauzat had a bond set at $1.1 million. The other 3 arrests had bonds set at $200,000 each.
