Church Point home invasion and battery ends in arrest

CHURCH POINT, La. (KLFY) – A man was arrested in Church Point after a home invasion and battery.
According to Church Point Police, officers received a call about a home invasion on N Kelly Street on Tuesday morning where a woman was attacked. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who claimed that the suspect had forced himself in the residence before attacking her.
A preliminary investigation identified the suspect, where they were found and arrested. The suspect, Tyerice Jamond Jeremiah Harmon, 24, was charged with sexual battery, home invasion and 2nd degree battery.
Harmon was booked into the Church Point Police Department Jail and transferred to the Acadia Parish Jail.
