Four suspects indicted in Jan. 2 murder in Carencro
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- Four people were indicted Tuesday in the murder of O’Shay Breaux, 20, in Carencro on Jan. 2.
A grand jury in the 15th Judicial District Court indicted Jaden Garlow, 18, of Opelousas, for second degree murder and Koby Glaude, 17, of Opelousas, Jakyri Aggison, 17, of Grand Coteau, and Matthew Charles, 18, of Opelousas, for principal to second degree murder, according to prosecutors.
The grand jury did not return an indictment for Jaylin Garlow, 18, of Opelousas, in the same case.
Breaux was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Collins Street by Carencro Police at approximately 2 a.m. Jan. 2. He later died in a local hospital.
The grand jury also returned the following other indictments:
- Jasyri Armon Hilliard, 18, of St. Martinville: Second degree murder
- Kolin Landicho Looney, 19, of Scott: Second degree murder
- Brian James Jenkins Jr., 29, of Lafayette: First degree murder, principal to attempted first degree murder
- James Errison George, 29, of Lafayette: First degree murder, attempted first degree murder
- Edward Joseph Guidry, 43, of Duson: First-degree rape, nonconsenual disclosure of private image
An indictment is a formal accusation — not a conviction — and indicates a grand jury believes there is enough evidence to bring a case to trial.
