Two arrested for alleged drug possession in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- State Police arrested two people from Albany for allegedly possessing drugs during a traffic stop on Wednesday. Police said Amin Williams, 29, and Michael L. Moore, 27, were charged with fourth and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after the stop.

Police said they stopped a vehicle on Hillcrest Avenue around 5:15 p.m. for several vehicle and traffic violations. Police identified the driver as Williams and Moore as a passenger and said they found felony-weight narcotics in the car while investigating.

When taken into custody, police said they found additional controlled substances in Moore's possession. Both were arraigned in Green Island Town Court and released.
