OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Science Museum Oklahoma is taking summer camp into the mysterious and mythical world of cryptozoology as sightings and traditions from the shadowy word moves into the academic realms.
Cryptozoology, which literally means “the study of hidden animals is the study of and search for animals and especially legendary animals (such as Sasquatch) usually in order to evaluate the possibility of their existence.
The Science Museum is seeking participants 21 and up to experience a summer camp like no other as you explore the mysterious and mythical world of cryptozoology.

All attendees must be 21+
Parties are more fun with friends. Bring a group. We're the perfect party before the party.
Dress to THRILL but proper attire is required. We are a PG-13 museum after all ;-)
There's always a Secret Room and we won't give you hints.

Attendees can expect, mythical creatures abound from Sasquatch to every Okie’s favorite lake monster - the Oklahoma Octopus. Like a great chimera, this night is the perfect mix of camping, cryptids, and fun according to the Science Museum.

Rube Goldberg; Capture the Yeti: The elusive Yeti has crashed our party, and rumor has it, he’s here to stay! An elaborate trap needs to be set to catch this party animal! (gently and safely of course)
Rubber Glove Bagpipes and Plesiosaur Science: Create your own rubber glove bagpipes and chat about the science behind the Plesiosaur, the sea creature rumored to be the Loch Ness Monster's distant cousin. It’s a mix of folklore, creativity, and paleontology.
Camp Fire Cryptid Stories: Take a break from the party for a bit; take a seat around the campfire and swap some stories about the creatures that might be out there.
Camouflage with the Oklahoma Octopus: The elusive Oklahoma Octopus is a Master of Disguise. Try your hand at camouflage makeup and see if we can give the Oklahoma Octopus a run for its money.
Who Built The Pyramids?: Talk over some of the wild and wonderful ideas about how the pyramids came to be and craft a miniature pyramid of your own.
Tug of Orr: A strategic game in which two players face off in a test of strength and agility. The goal is simple yet challenging: use your paddling skills to maneuver your opponent out of the playing area.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. It's first come first serve and may sell out prior to the event.
