Kiefer Sutherland Pens Touching Tribute to Dad Donald Sutherland After His Death

Kiefer Sutherland is breaking his silence on his dad Donald Sutherland‘s death.

On Thursday (June 20), it was announced that the Emmy-winning actor, best known for his roles in MASH, the Hunger Games movie franchise, and Klute, had passed away at the age of 88 after battling a “long illness.”

Shortly after news of Donald‘s death broke, Kiefer, 57, took to social media to pen a touching tribute to his dad.

Keep reading to find out more…“With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away,” Kiefer wrote on Instagram along with a throwback photo of himself as a child with Donald.

“I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film,” Kiefer continued. “Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more than that. A life well lived.”
