Alive at Five concert moved to rain location due to heat

Thursday's Alive at Five concert in Albany has been moved from Jennings Landing to the Corning Preserve Boat Launch due to the excessive heat. The boat launch is under the I-787 bridge.

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Thursday's Alive at Five concert in Albany has been moved from Jennings Landing to the Corning Preserve Boat Launch due to the excessive heat. The boat launch is under the I-787 bridge.

Thursday's concert is Latin Night with Tito Puente Jr. and Bronte Roman. This is Alive at Five's first Latin Night in several years.

The Albany Office of Cultural Affairs said the move is to keep everyone out of the sun. Free water will be available and the first 250 attendees will get free sunglasses at the info booth.

The lineup for the rest of the Alive at Five concert series includes:

    • Jelly Joseph with Hilltop

The free, family-friendly event runs from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Parking is available at the Riverfront Garage at 2 Columbia Street and Quackenbush Garage at 25 Orange Street for $8 starting at 4 p.m.

No alcohol, coolers, backpacks, bags, containers, packages, thermoses, cups, bottles, cans, flasks, glass containers of any kind, recording of performances, or pets will be allowed at the concerts. All Albany parks are tobacco-free.
