Last Saturday, June 15 was World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, marked around the globe to combat the increasing neglect and abuse of vulnerable seniors in our society. In Ontario, studies have shown that between eight and 10 per cent of the province’s two million seniors over the age of 65 experience some form of elder abuse.
