'How'd it go for you?' MSNBC's Mika mocks GOP lawmaker's faceplant on Biden joke
A Wisconsin Republican's attempt to make a simple joke about President Joe Biden's age went as badly as possible at a Donald Trump rally in Racine on Tuesday and MSNBC "Morning Joe" co-host Mike Brzezinski pounced on it.
Speaking before the MAGA crowd, it didn't take long for Rep. Bryan Steil (R-WI) to realize he substituted Trump's name for Biden's as the crowd remained silent, possibly out of confusion.
"It's hard to believe. Donald Trump was first elected to the United States Senate when I was negative 8 years old — that's true," he told the crowd before his goof dawned on him and he quickly added, "President Biden was elected when I was negative 8 years old."
He then added an abashed, "I'm going to get myself in trouble."

After sharing the clip, MSNBC's Brzezinski interjected, "Yeah, you are because they are both old and so just stop guys."
"Republican Congressman Bryan Steil and his opening act for Trump in Wisconsin on Tuesday, and how'd it go for you?" she joked. "Totally botching an attempt about a joke about President Biden's age, but by mistake totally making fun of Donald Trump's age. We're one week away from the cycle's first presidential debate, and Donald Trump appears to be lowering expectations and making excuses. During his rally in Wisconsin on Tuesday, he even pushed the conspiracy that Biden could only perform well if he's pumped up on drugs. Hmmmmm."
