EastEnders in bombshell prison twist as character finally faces comeuppance for their hideous crime
EASTENDERS fans were left cheering at the screens as one character was finally arrested for their wicked crimes.
It came at the closing of an emotional episode of the BBC soap opera where the devious ways of one Walford resident were finally exposed.
The Pastor was arrested in EastEnders[/caption] Yolande and her family watched on as she bravely spoke out[/caption]Pastor Gideon Clayton was seen being taken away in handcuffs by the cops after Yolande Trueman bravely spoke out and reported the sexual assault she faced at the hands of Clayton to the police.
In tear-jerking scenes, Yolande spoke at length to the police about what had happened with the Pastor as tears streamed down her face.
Played by actress Angela Wynter, fans were left horrified in April of this year when Yolande was assaulted during a church-organised community fundraiser.
Yolande initially only confided in Elaine Peacock but soon came clean to Patrick too but insisted she would keep it all under wraps.
However, as she was forced once more to be in close proximity to him during Jordan Fox’s baptism, she finally decided to speak up.
Having told the Police all about the Pastor, she was sent to a sexual health trauma centre where she was asked to give another frank statement about what had happened to her.
She chose to be accompanied by Elaine once more and told her: “I couldn’t have got through this without you.”
Meanwhile, back on the Square the Fox-Trueman clan were losing their minds as they failed to track down Yolande whilst becoming increasingly concerned about her current state of mind.
Eventually, she returned from the centre and told Denise, Kim and Chelsea what she had been going through over the past few months.
The ladies were left heartbroken as they began to understand why Yolande had felt uncomfortable around the Pastor and why she had originally suggested postponing little Jordan’s baptism.
Furious, Denise insisted she was rushing out to confront the Pastor and to look him in the eye about what he did to Yolande.
Worried about what she might do, Yolande and Patrick chased after her as the trio arrived at the community centre.
As Clayton was locking up, a police officer arrived at the scene and told him that he would be arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.
Yolande appeared to look relived as Clayton could be heard barking at the copper: “This is a mistake.”
The cops were quick to arrest him[/caption]He further said: “You’ve got this all wrong.
“Whoever said this is lying!
“Ask anyone! I’m a man of God!”
As he was led away to the cop car, Yolande subtly nodded her head as it appeared that the Pastor would be heading to prison for his heinous crime.
