Philip Salt (87* off 47) hits three sixes and as many fours in 30-run 16th over giving a big hand in helping England secure their eight-wicket victory over West Indies.

Baristow made 48* off 26 deliveries in an unbroken third-wicket stand of 97 from 44 balls with Salt, Taking three boundaries again left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein in the 15th over.

Salt (87* off 47 balls) thrashed 3 sixes and as many fours in West Indies seamer Romario Shepherd’s over as the defending champion reached their target of 181with 15 deliveries to spare.

This super show of skills happened during the 16th over of England’s innings, with them having an upper hand in the situation, needing 40 runs from the last five overs for a win. England being in a comfortable position and on their way to win was already a massive burden for West Indies, Salt’s brutal assault made the equation go even more further.

After completing his fifty with a glorious boundary through the off side, Salt thumped Shepherd for a masive six straight down the ground.

He played the first ball over extra cover for a four. The second ball was mismatched but in such a way that it went all the way down the ground for a six. Third ball was sent over the keeper and the fourth delivery was smacked over the long-off for another six. Fifth delivery, a slower one, was dispatched over the deep square leg with a pull for another six and the last ball was a full toss, which was sent over the mid-off to complete the 30-run over.
