BARCELONA / LONDON – Volotea is launching its second regular route to the United Kingdom. Beginning on November 7th, the airline will offer direct flights between London Gatwick and Brest, its 9th operating base in France. This new route provides travelers with a convenient and affordable option to explore the picturesque Brittany region of France.

With over a decade of experience in the aviation industry, Volotea has firmly established itself as a leading airline, successfully transporting over 60 million passengers to date. The carrier’s newest route between the UK and France further expands its extensive network, operating approximately 450 routes across more than 100 airports. The Barcelona-based airline, which now includes Brest as its 9th base in France and 20th operating base in its network, will offer approximately 12,000 seats on the route for the 2024 winter period, with plans to extend this offer into the summer of 2025. The connection, operating with a frequency of two flights per week on Thursdays and Sundays, allows passengers traveling from London Gatwick to conveniently explore Brest’s rich maritime history and vibrant cultural scene over a long weekend.

Situated on the scenic coast of Brittany, Brest is renowned for its rich seafaring heritage and captivating attractions. The city features a stunning natural harbor, historic fortifications, and the renowned Océanopolis aquarium. Visitors can explore Brest Castle, which dates back to Roman times, and stroll through its vibrant waterfront area. With its blend of historical significance and contemporary charm, Brest offers a unique destination that caters to all travelers.
