TIBURON
Board will review
revised house plan
The town Design Review Board has scheduled a second hearing on a proposal for a new home at 801 Tiburon Blvd.
The property owners want to demolish the 1,460-square-foot, one-story residence and replace it with a two-story home of about 4,000 square feet with a garage and a swimming pool. The project would require a floor-area exception.
The board held a hearing on May 16 and heard complaints from neighbors about the potential detriments to their privacy, views and light, according to a staff report by Samantha Bonifacio, a town planner.
“In general, the Board was supportive of elements of the design, but agreed that they would not be able to support the project as submitted, as it would impact the existing views of the adjacent neighbors,” Bonifacio wrote.
The board asked the architect for revisions. The next hearing is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at Town Hall.
The board also plans to hold hearings on applications for fencing changes at 275 Diviso St.; a 1,095-square-foot accessory structure above a garage at 759 Tiburon Blvd.; a 907-square-foot addition at 539 Comstock Drive; and a play structure at 4 Santa Ana Court.
