Ex-CIA chief blasts Wisconsin law enforcement for shaking hands with convicted felon Trump

When former President and now-convicted felon Donald Trump touched down for his rally in Racine, Wisconsin, several law enforcement officials lined up to greet and shake hands with him.

The photo-op didn't sit well with former CIA and National Security Agency director Michael Hayden, as well as many others.

"You should be ashamed," Hayden posted Wednesday night on X in response to the video.

Hayden has excoriated the former president on multiple occasions, in particular over his theft and concealment of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort in South Florida.

“We don’t know who saw them, but we have to assume those documents were compromised,” said Hayden in an ad cut last year against Trump by the Republican Accountability Project. He added that Trump "must face consequences" for the national security crisis he created for America.Others echoed Hayden's sentiment.

"Everything is about optics with DJT," wrote @AreMond2.

"A convicted felon AND an adjudicated rapist," noted @mommamia1217.

"After he called Milwaukee horrible [expressionless face]," wrote @Chameleon876.

The rally Trump held in Racine was marked by controversy from the start, as he had recently been revealed to have called nearby Milwaukee, the largest city in Wisconsin, "horrible" in a closed-door meeting with Republicans — which he immediately denied saying at his rally. He punctuated his speech with repeated attacks on immigrants, and at times appeared to lose focus and become confused about what he was saying. For example, when he was attacking Biden's executive order released this week to make it easier for undocumented spouses of U.S. citizens to apply for green cards, he proclaimed, "Joe Biden is forming granting mass — thinkit."
