ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - A crowded field of six democrats are trying to win the June 25th primary and replace Pat Fahy in the state Assembly's 109th district. One of them is Ginnie Farrell.

Farrell is the Albany Common Council's majority leader. Two big issues she's focusing on are the environment and education.

"That is much more of a budget focus but that's really looking at the different (funding) formulas, foundation aid formula and pre-k formula," said Farrell. She adds, "there's different formulas depending on when you joined it."

Farrell points out because of that, funding is different for each school district. "I'd like them all to have the same level of reimbursement and be able to officer this incredible opportunity for families," said Farrell.

She sat down with News10 to discuss the other issues facing the 107th Assembly district.
