Albany set to celebrate Pride Month this weekend

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Pride Month is being celebrated Saturday, June 22 in Albany with a rally, march and fun for all from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The all-ages event in downtown Albany will have everything from live drag performances to music, food and vendors. The day will start with a rally at 9:30 with emcee and Albany Pride founder, Keith Kolkow at 300 SW 4th Ave.

From the rally, attendees will take to the streets of downtown Albany in a Pride March starting at 11:00 a.m. The march will end around 11:45 a.m. with a drag show hosted by Albany native and Portland drag queen, Nicole Onoscopi.

Juneteenth will also be recognized during the Pride festivities around 1:45 p.m. led by the President of the Linn Benton NAACP, Jason J Dorsette.

The Pride festivities will come to an end with Mid-Valley Productions take on a talent show. The show will end around 5 p.m.
