Hudson Falls man arrested for alleged welfare fraud
HUDSON FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, a Hudson Falls man was arrested for alleged fraud. Jaquob Bushey, 24, faces multiple charges.
Charges
- Fourth-degree grand larceny
- Fourth-degree welfare fraud
The arrest stemmed from a joint investigation with the Washington County Department of Social Services and the Sheriff's Office where they found that Bushey received over $1,000 in benefits. It is alleged that he was not eligible for these benefits and did not report his income to the Department of Social Services as required.
Bushey was released with an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Fort Edward Court at a later date.
