Troy man arrested for cocaine, fentanyl possession

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- On Tuesday, the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office arrested a man from Troy for alleged criminal drug possession. Police said Dwayne Lee, 34, had fentanyl and other drugs in his possession when he was arrested.

Charges

• Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
• One count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled narcotic drug
• One count of criminal use of drug paraphernalia

According to police, Lee was arrested after police executed a search warrant at the John F. Kennedy Towers, a senior citizen housing development. Lee was staying at Kennedy Towers on the 19th floor, and police said they found 40 grams of cocaine and fentanyl, packaging materials, and scales in the apartment.

Lee was arraigned in Troy City Court and remains in Rensselaer County Jail without bail. The Troy Housing Authority and Troy Police Special Operations Detectives assisted the Sheriff's Office with the investigation.
