Greenwich man charged with burglary, assault
WILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State police announced the arrest of a Greenwich man following a burglary investigation. Timothy Fedler, 37, is facing multiple charges.
On Tuesday around 5:50 p.m., troopers responded to the report of a disturbance at a home in Wilton. The ensuing investigation determined that Fedler arrived at the house uninvited and allegedly entered without permission.
Fedler is accused of striking an occupant of the home multiple times and damaging property, all while in the presence of a minor. He then reportedly fled the home before law enforcement arrived, but was later found at his home in Greenwich and was taken into custody.
Fedler and the victim are not known to each other, according to state police. Fedler now faces the following charges:
- Second-degree burglary
- Third-degree criminal mischief
- Third-degree assault
- Endangering the welfare of a child
Fedler was arraigned at the Wilton Town Court before being released on his own recognizance.
