16-year-old arrested, charged in Franklinton fatal shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A teenage boy has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of a 21-year-old man in Franklinton.
Columbus police announced that they identified a 16-year-old as the suspect accused of killing Caleb McKenzie on June 4. The teenager was arrested by a SWAT unit on Tuesday and was taken to a Franklin County juvenile center with one charge of murder.
Police said they received a call just before 10:45 p.m. on June 4 of a vehicle hitting parked cars and a pole at the 700 block of Sullivant Avenue. Police found McKenzie in the car with a gunshot wound and had him taken to a hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at 11:03 p.m.
