Guilderland's Capital City Diner closes for renovations

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Capital City Diner, located at 1709 Western Avenue in Guilderland, closed for renovations as of Monday, June 17. Bob Pilarinos, one of the partners of Pilarinos Hospitality Group, said the diner is projected to reopen around Labor Day.

Pilarinos said they are doing a complete renovation of the diner. They worked with the firm Parts and Labor Design out of New York City on the project.

Pilarinos Hospitality Group also owns Ambrosia Diner in Queensbury. Both diners have similar menus with all the classics including breakfast, gyros, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, chicken, fish, desserts, and more.
