A shocking incident unfolded when a woman, Prami Sridhar, discovered a dead mouse in a bottle of Hershey’s chocolate syrup ordered through Zepto. The situation escalated as three family members unknowingly consumed the contaminated syrup, leading to one of them requiring immediate medical attention. In a distressing Instagram post, Sridhar shared a video capturing the dead mouse found inside the chocolate syrup. She said her family had ordered the syrup via Zepto to eat with brownie cakes, only to encounter small hairs in the liquid while pouring it out.

Upon emptying the bottle into a cup, the family was met with a ghastly sight – a lifeless mouse submerged in the chocolate syrup. After rinsing it under running water to confirm their suspicions, Sridhar attempted to file a complaint but received no response.

Despite two individuals showing no symptoms, one girl fainted after consuming the syrup and required hospitalization. Fortunately, she has since made a full recovery now.

Sridhar’s Instagram post included a disturbing video of the dead mouse submerged in the chocolate syrup. She said three family members consumed the contaminated syrup before noticing the issue, and that one of them had to get a medical examination done. “We oderd Hershey s’chocolate syrup from zepto ,to eat with brownie cakes,we started with pouring with cakes .caughted small hair continuously.decided to open .the opening was sealed and intact .we opened and pored in disposable glass a thick and hard consistency of death (dead) rat dropped down.by washing in running water for reconformation .its a death (dead) rat,” she wrote on Instagram, sharing the video.

Soon after the video went viral, Hershey’s responded to it saying, “Hi there, we are very sorry to see this. Please send us the UPC and manufacturing code from the bottle to consumercare@hersheys.com with the reference number 11082163 so one of our team members can assist you!”

Sridhar ended the post cautioning people to check the products before offering them to kids in the house. “This is extremely concerning and unacceptable. We worried about the health risks and the lack of quality control,” Sridhar wrote, demanging a “full investigation” and “assurance that this will not happen again.”

This comes days after a Mumbai-based doctor found a human finger in an ice cream cone ordered online.
