Central bank renews case to limit digital wallet scheme

The Bank of Thailand (BoT) remains firm in its opposition to a government plan to give 500 billion baht (US$13.62 billion) in cash to almost all its adult citizens to revitalise consumption activity, saying the prudent thing would be to limit assistance to the needy.
