Rep. Jamaal Bowman says Latimer is working for 'right-wing billionaires'
NEW YORK (PIX11) -- U.S. Rep. Jamaal Bowman and Westchester County Executive George Latimer, the two candidates in the Democratic primary for New York’s 16th Congressional District, faced off in a debate on PIX11 Tuesday night.
PIX11 political reporter Henry Rosoff spoke with Bowman after the debate to get his final thoughts.
"What I really hope people take away is that this race is really about the many versus the money. He doesn’t talk about affordability because he works for Republican right-wing billionaires. I would argue that I have done more in three years than he has done over his 35-year career, especially as it relates to equity. If we don’t have equity, we don’t have a democracy," said Bowman.
