Superhero, villain Texas license plates to be auctioned this month

AUSTIN (KXAN) — My Plates announced it is auctioning off 25 different "Heroes vs. Villains" personalized Texas license plate messages until July 17.

The bidding opened Monday and offers can be placed through an auction website and the My Plates website. The license plates feature different heroes and villains from popular comic books and movies.

Popular superhero names like SPYDRMN (Spiderman), CPT. MARVL (Captain Marvel) and SUPRMAN (Superman) are up for sale. Infamous villain options like LOKI-01, DOC DOOM and WANDA are available, as well.

The opening bids start at $500, according to the auction website.

Auction winners can choose from 100+ eligible backgrounds, according to My Plates.

“This is the first time we've included superhero messages, and we can't wait to see how the bidding unfolds. Will the heroes reign supreme, or will the villains steal the show,” My Plates President and CEO Steve Farrar said in the news release.
