Ranking the 6 recent NBA champions by who will likely end the absurd streak of different winners in 2025
The Boston Celtics’ win in the 2024 NBA Finals continued a bizarre streak for the league.
There have now been six straight different champions dating back to 2019, the longest such streak in the league in decades. The early inclination for many — understandably — is that the Celtics will likely repeat and finally end this little run of parity by the end of next season. But I’m not necessarily as convinced by Boston, never mind the several NBA upstarts (the Oklahoma City Thunder!) who are more than worthy of extending that streak and making their own run to championship glory for the first time.
