Under-19s offers ‘pathway’ to first team
COLWYN Bay’s Under-19 side will provide a pathway for young players to progress to the first team says head coach Paul Roberts.
The Bay will play in the will play in the FAW Reserve League North Tier 1-2 next season.
“It’s a very young side stepping up to senior football for the first time,” Robbo said.
“The main aim is to develop them and get the lads into the first team.
“Wildey and Danny Harrison have said that there’s a pathway there to get into the first team if they train hard and put the work in.”
Former Bay full-back Paul is head coach and assisted by coaches Kai Hughes and Simon Allen.
Paul, who also played for Llandudno, Caernarfon Town and Llangefni, has previous coaching experience with Llandudno Academy before joining the Bay’s Academy Coaching team last year.
He was also assistant manager of Llandudno Women’s side which won the Adran North title in 2022, with Wrexham as runners-up.
Simon has previously been a coach with Mochdre Sports and is working towards his Uefa B Licence while Kai is Coach for Conwy Schools Football Association.
