A MAJOR pub chain is giving away free pints at 800 bars throughout the Euros as football fever runs rife across the UK.

This is a one time deal only, but it doesn’t mean the end of rewards for customers.
After receiving their free beverage, punters will then be able to get 10% off selected drinks on matchdays throughout the rest of this summer’s tournament.
But that’s not all, with Greene King also offering fans another opportunity to win even more free drinks.
By competing in the Nation’s Biggest Sweepstake, customers can grab themselves a number of prizes.
All entrants need to do is select one of the 24 nations competing at Euro 2024, and then they’ll automatically receive a second team to cheer on during this summer’s tournament.
With two teams in the sweepstake, you stand a better chance of winning the whole thing and receiving even more free prizes.
Michelle West, Head of Sport at Greene King, said: “This year’s hotly anticipated summer of sport is upon us, and what better way to ramp up the excitement even more than by taking part in the Nation’s Biggest Sweepstake?
“Be in with a chance of winning thousands of amazing prizes, simply by downloading the Greene King Sport app or visiting the website.
“Once you’ve selected your chosen team and drawn a second one, head to your local Greene King pub, get some delicious food and drink in – and settle down to enjoy the action with a free drink to enjoy whilst your sweepstake nation plays!”
Greene King aren’t the only major pub chain to make big changes in time for the Euros this summer.
Wetherspoons recently announced that it will now be showing all of the fixtures throughout June and July.
The pub chain began screening Euro 2024 games across 788 of its pubs on Friday when the tournament began – and will now continue right throughout the course of the next month.
It comes after the Government confirmed pubs will be allowed to stay open until 1am on match days if either England or Scotland reach the semi-finals of the Euros this summer.
In another key move ahead of the tournament, Spoons reversed a controversial ban for its boozers on the eve of Euros footie festivities last week.
The St George’s Cross, along with all other flags, were barred from being flown in Spoons watering holes during the 2018 World Cup – but patriotic pubs are now being given the go-ahead.
But now bar staff are being told they can also fly flags at their discretion as the nation cheers on Gareth Southgate‘s boys in Germany.
