Bindi Irwin Reveals Grace’s Favorite Parts of the Zoo & Her Pure Joy Is Contagious

When the zoo is your playground (and also your home), chances are you will develop a favorite spot or two. Bindi Irwin’s daughter Grace Warrior definitely has, and she was the happiest little girl on an afternoon trip to the Australia Zoo. A sweet new video reveals all of the 3-year-old’s favorite spots!

The Animal Planet star shares in a new video on YouTube that she is planning on surprising her daughter, who she shares with husband Chandler Powell, with a day of fun. “Chandler and I are actually taking Grace to the staff meeting because we have a very special surprise for her with the team,” Bindi gushes in the video.

It cuts to the inside of the Crocoseum, where all the zoo employees are lined up in two rows and creating a tunnel with their hands for Grace to run through. The toddler is wearing her adorable khaki uniform and has the biggest smile on her face as she runs down the length of it, with Bindi following behind and clapping for her. She gets to the end and turns around to run down again. Such a cutie!

“Thank you zoo crew! Grace absolutely loves the spirit tunnel,” Bindi says in the clip. This isn’t the first time Bindi has taken Grace to a staff meeting. Last August, she shared a sweet video of Grace helping her give an update to the employees. “Grace requested to come to our #AustraliaZoo staff meeting with us and gave a fabulous update on koalas. ????” Bindi wrote on Instagram. “She’s also been saying ‘thank you for your hard word’ to everyone since the meeting and it makes us laugh every time.”

In this week’s YouTube video, Bindi and Powell take Grace to another “favorite place in the zoo: Cameron the Crocodile!” Unlike the crocs that the late Steve Irwin (and Grace’s grandpa) wrestled, Cameron is a crocodile statue with a wide-open mouth that Grace can crawl in. She sits inside his open jaw, grabbing onto his large teeth and smiling. “This afternoon has been so much fun,” Bindi adds.

The last stop is the best. The trio went to visit Igloo the tortoise. Grace runs up to the huge tortoise, crouching down to pet his legs just like her mom showed her. She then laughs as she feeds the tortoise a leafy branch covered in berries. At the end, she leans down to give the turtle a big hug on his shell. Our hearts can’t handle the sweetness!

“Steve would have said ‘ oh what a little beauty!!’ She is a mini little mom look alike. The Irwins can be proud, teaching the young generation about concervation… ❤️” one person commented. Another wrote, “She is an absolutely beautiful child … just like her Mom. She is living such a wonderful life full amazing animals and love. She’s living my dream life ????,”

“Oh my, I teared up watching Grace’s joy!!!” another commented. “Such a little treasure. You are all amazing … Steve would be so proud❤️”

How can you not smile every day watching little Grace fall in love with animals and the zoo? It’s truly magical!
