North Carolina man arrested in Duanesburg traffic stop
DUANESBURG, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A North Carolina man was arrested in Duanesburg on illegal firearm charges. Adrian Ferguson, 28, faces multiple charges.
On Thursday, around 12:26 p.m., troopers pulled over a car on I-88 in Duanesburg for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Police say Ferguson was identified as the driver and found to not have a valid driver's license.
Upon further investigation, Ferguson was found to have a loaded, illegally modified, and disguised firearm in the car. Police also say Ferguson was found to be a convicted felon who cannot legally possess firearms.
Charges:
- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (two counts)
- Vehicle and traffic law violations
Ferguson was arrested and taken to Princetown State Police for processing. He was then taken to Schenectady County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
