Saratoga Springs police officer injured in hit-and-run

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Saratoga Springs Police Department announced they are investigating a hit-and-run involving an officer. Police say the incident stemmed from a traffic stop during which an officer was dragged by the pulled-over car.

The injured officer is alert and receiving medical care, according to police. SSPD is currently searching for the car involved, a blue Dodge Caravan with the license plate HFS9550.

Police say the suspect is Theresa Travis, 34, who is described as having blonde hair, blue eyes and a Monroe piercing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Saratoga Springs Police at (518)584-1800.
