Assam Home Secretary Siladitya Chetia kills himself in hospital after wife's death

Shiladitya Chetia, an IPS officer serving as Secretary in the Assam government's home and political departments, allegedly died by suicide following the death of his wife, who had been battling cancer. Assam DGP G P Singh confirmed the tragic incident, stating Chetia took his own life shortly after his wife passed away.
