WATCH: Inaugural Kullu-Dehradun Flight Gets Breathtaking Water Cannon Salute At Manali Airport
The inaugural flight between famous hill resorts, Kullu in Himachal Pradesh, to Dehradun in Uttarakhand, received a breathtaking water cannon salute as the aircraft took flight from the Kullu Manali Airport on Tuesday.
A video shared by news agency ANI showed the mesmerising visuals of the two water cannons firing from opposite ends as the first Kullu-Dehradun flight took off from the Kullu Manali airport amidst the backdrop of magical snow-capped mountain peaks and lush greens in the Himalayas.

As per an ANI report, the Kullu-Dehradun flight will operate to-and-fro on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The flight will depart from the Kullu Manali Airport, also known as Bhuntar Airport, on the above mentioned days at 8:30 AM in the morning.
Following the water cannon salute, a traditional gun salute was also given to the Kullu-Dehradun flight followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony and cake-cutting event which was attended by the airline staff and crew, the CISF, and the passengers of the flight.
In a statement, Kullu Manali Airport Director Siddharth Kadamba, who performed the lamp-lighting ceremony ahead of the flight’s departure, announced that the airport now connects to three major destinations in Northern India, viz. Delhi, Amritsar, and Dehradun.
The Bhuntar Airport, popularly called the Kullu Manali airport, is a tiny picturesque airport located in the heart of Himalayas, serving the twin tourist destinations of Kullu and Manali in Himachal. The airport is situated in Bhuntar, around 11 kms from Kullu and 52 kms from Manali.
