Fights break out in stands ahead of Turkey’s Euro 2024 clash vs Georgia as waterfalls pour from roof after heavy storms
TURKEY’S Euro 2024 clash with Georgia descended into chaos before kick-off after fights broke out in the stands and water poured from the roof.
Footage from the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund showed rain from a storm drenching seats by the pitch.

Objects were reportedly thrown between two sections, before fighting ensued.
The scene was described as “absolute bedlam” amid concerns of the game going ahead.
Storey tweeted: “Think that there has to be a greater than zero chance of this game being postponed if the deluge continues.
“Work ongoing to try and sweep pouring water from stadium corners down drains that have been opened for the purpose, but it’s Sisyphean sogginess.”
Riot police eventually re-established control of the situation just over one hour before the scheduled kick-off time.
Turkey-Georgia is the penultimate match of the first round of group-stage matches at the Euros.
