That’s because a professional cleaner has revealed six things she’d urge everyone to avoid having in their home…because you’ll spend a lifetime trying to keep them dust or streak-free.

In a clip shared to TikTok (@glitzy.cleans.3), the cleaning whizz revealed the worst offending items that she dreads coming across on her daily job – starting with silicone toilet brushes.

The cleaner explains that while she understands they’re more hygienic, she notes that you can’t clean with them.

Instead, she points out that it’s best to use bristle toilet brushes only.

Next up, the cleaning guru urges homeowners to avoid jumping on the black tap trend.

“Builds a ridiculous amount of limescale, marks easily – just a no from me,” she warns.

And for anyone looking to give their kitchen a glow up any time soon, then you may just want to listen up…because there’s a specific colour cupboard she advises steering clear of at all costs.

The cleaning whizz explains that while she loves the look of black cupboards, it’s best to avoid them “unless you want to spend the rest of your life wiping them 24/7.”

She points out: “They show the tiniest of marks and are hard to wipe without leaving streaks.”

Not stopping there, she also says waterfall taps are a nightmare when it comes to limescale – especially if you live in a hard water area.

As for furniture, the pro cleaner recommends avoiding glass tables, which she brands an “absolute dust and fingerprint magnet.”

She adds: “Nearly impossible to keep clean, no no no.”

And last but not least, she says shed never opt for white flooring. Why?

Because she warns it’ll show the smallest of marks and will stay clean for no longer than one minute before going back to normal again.”

It wasn’t long before the post went viral, racking up a whopping 1.3 million views and several comments from other social media users and cleaners alike.
