My messy garden had a dirty patio & see-through fence – I gave it a budget glow-up & transformed the slabs for 55p
A WOMAN who gave her “messy” garden a makeover brought everything from Home Bargains and B&M.
Sharing the outdoor space’s transformation on TikTok, Jade Louise said she had a “rotten” patio and a see-through fence and called it “a complete and utter mess.”
However, across five videos, Jade gave followers updates on the “glow up” and explained just how she made the turnaround.
She and her partner began by cleaning their patio with a jet washer, but a few videos later did it again.
She said she’d been asked to do it again and recieved a tip.
The tip was to use bleach to scrub the patio.
With it being quite the bargain at £0.55p for 750ml from The Range, it’s a pretty neat one too.
“So we did have to buy three big bottles of bleach just to cover the whole patio… How good does this look? I can’t believe how clean it is now!” She said.
She then said they were putting bamboo between fence pannels as there were gaps and they wanted privacy from their neighbours.
“Can you see why we want bamboo?” She asked showing their fence.
“Our neighbours just keep peering through and we want more priacy.”
Jade explained they’re privately renting so to get around any issues, they used zip ties to keep the bamboo in place.
She added lights around the edge of the garden and a black and white patterned rug for the patio.
She said she’d placed her daughter Georgia‘s play area with it as she said Georgia is “really clumsy.”
Using Mrs Hinch‘s £2.49 collaboration with Flash called Mrs Hinch’s Vacay Vibes, Jade then wiped down the table and said it smelt “divine.”
To decorate, the mum-of-two added some butterfly ornaments and trellis to her fence.
Other decor she added included a sign which reads “Welcome to Our Garden,” and some fairy lights up on the fence.
in her before and after video, Jade explained: “I think it looks absolutely stunning and I cannot wait to spend my summer evenings out here.”
In the comments, people praised the tranformation.
One person said: “Looks amazing girl! Should be so proud.”
Another penned: “Looks so good! Can’t believe the difference the bamboo made [star eyes emoji] .”
A third commented: “Love [heart eyes emoji].”
