Share Market Highlights 18th June 2024: Sensex hits new closing peak, Nifty hits record closing high

Sensex, Nifty updates on 18th June 2024: As per provisional figures, Sensex was at 77,308.45, up 315.68 points or 0.41 per cent higher. The Nifty was at 23,560.70, a gain of 95.10 points or 0.41 per cent firmer.

The majority of Nifty sectoral indices were in the green, with Nifty Consumer Durables up 1.46 per cent, Nifty Realty up 1.36 per cent, the banking index up 0.81 per cent, and financial services up 0.63 per cent. The healthcare and media indices were the major losers.
