Emmerdale legend’s return ‘sealed’ in giveaway clue amid Belle’s harrowing abuse plot
A RETURN for one Emmerdale legend has seemingly been ‘revealed’.
Fans of the ITV soap opera will be left on the edge of their seats after the programme teased that a return for one of the programme’s most legendary characters was imminent.
The expected TV return comes amid Belle Dingle’s harrowing abuse plot at the hands of her husband Tom King.
In upcoming scenes, fans will see that Belle finally decides she has had enough of Tom’s ways and opts to quit the Dales to get away from him.
It will see Belle decide to head to Scotland and stay with Debbie Dingle, played by actress Charley Webb.
Actress Charley quit the show and last appeared on the soap in 2021 having played the role of Debbie for 19 years.
Debbie first fled to Scotland in 2019 and remained off-screens for more than a year before she re-appeared in the village sporadically between December 2020 and February 2021.
With Belle heading to be with Debbie in the wake of her abuse hell, could she spill all to the Dingle relative and prompt her to make a grand return to Emmerdale.
Debbie still has more than a few ties to the village, most notably her daughter Sarah Sugden who decided to remain living with grandmother Charity than head to Scotland with her mum.
Both of Debbie’s parents are also still living in the village as well as a whole host of her extended relatives.
Whilst no return for Debbie has been confirmed, fans are likely to be sent into a tailspin when she is mentioned on-screen next week.
Next week on the soap, Belle takes matters into her own hands with drastic action and is left fleeing for safety.
Belle will confide in Rachel who is her Mental Health Care Coordinator, where says how she told her husband that she had a miscarriage.
However, she hides a secret as she instead had an abortion after his abuse behind close doors started to take its toll.
However, Belle is scared that Rachel might be realising the full extent of Tom’s coercive control over her as she is desperate for her to leave.
As Rachel takes a reassuring tone with her, the reality of the manipulation, bullying and control finally sinks in.
Belle cautiously nods along as the mental health expert encourages her to take a break from her abusive husband.
