The garden lamps are available in four colours – pink, yellow, blue and green.

On the Home Bargains website, all the colours of the Firefly Metal Table Solar Light are sold out apart from the yellow version.

But savvy shoppers have spotted the item on sale on the shelves of the discounter, as one shared a photo on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

The shopper wrote: “Solar Garden Lamps £3.99 at Home Bargains…”

The post already got 215 likes and over 160 comments from shoppers keen to snap one of the lights themselves.

One wrote: “I have 3 different colours in the hanging lanterns like this style look lovely at night.”

Another added: “These are cute!!”

One more shopper commented: “I need these.”

Several people tagged their friends to show them the product as one told her pal: “These are cute for your garden x.”

One more tagged a friend and said: “Pink one is so you!”

A few weeks ago, Home Bargains shoppers rushed to buy a hanging hot air balloon solar light on sale for just £4.99.

The nifty device works by absorbing rays from the sun and then beaming light across your garden space as soon as it gets dark.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, a shopper said: “Don’t know if anyone has posted yet, but Home Bargains has got the hot air balloons back that Aldi sold out of quickly only £4.99.”

How to bag a bargain

SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain...

Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.

Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.

Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.

Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.

Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.

When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.

Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.

Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.

And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.

One said: “I so want one but no Home Bargains near me.”

Another added: “I have one and they are beautiful.”

Meanwhile, a third commented: “How cute.”

If you’re keen to snap one of these items up, it could be worth calling your local branch to see if it has any in stock.

You can find your nearest Home Bargains branch by using the retailer’s store locator on its website.

But you should always remember to shop around before buying anything like this as you might find the item cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Price Spy let you compare prices on thousands of products to find out where it will cost you the least.

You can also have a quick scan on the Google Shopping/Product tab to see how much retailers are selling a particular item for.

Seven Bargaintastic Discount Stores

We found the same item on eBay but at a much higher price – between £12.99 and £13.99.

Robert Dyas also sells a similar lamp but it costs £14.99.
