The families of a young couple who died together in a head-on crash have paid emotional tributes to them, saying they loved each other ‘beyond words’.

Katie Worrell, 25, and Adam Muskett, 27, were declared dead at the scene on the A477 near the village of Red Roses, Carmarthenshire, last Thursday afternoon.

Two other adults, aged 27 and 33, were taken to hospital with injuries following the crash, which involved a black Jaguar and black Ford Fiesta.

Katie’s family described her as a ‘much-loved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and cousin’.

They added: ‘She lived life to the full, loving to travel and achieving so much in such a short time, she graduated with a master’s and worked hard.

‘She loved her friends and Adam beyond words. Katie was kind, caring and beautiful and our lives will never be the same without her.’

Adam’s family said he was a ‘loving son, brother, grandson and nephew’.

‘He loved life, his friends, Tenby, football and Katie very much,’ they added.

‘How do we move on without you, your big kind heart and cheeky smile. We are heartbroken and forever proud.’

Dyfed-Powys Police appealed for witnesses.

A spokesperson said: ‘Sadly, a man, 27, and a woman, 25, both travelling in the same car, died as a result of their injuries.

‘Their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

‘Two other adults, aged 27 and 33, were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

‘The road was closed for collision investigation and has since reopened.’

The road is a popular route for drivers travelling to the beaches and towns of south Pembrokeshire such as Tenby, Saundersfoot and Pembroke.
