Troy police reach tentative contract agreement
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The union representing police officers in Troy has reached a tentative contract agreement with the city. The mayor's office said about 90 percent of union members voted in favor of the contract.
It calls for better starting pay for new officers in order to improve staffing. It also includes new guidelines for using body worn and dashboard cameras.
The previous agreement expired in 2023. The city council is expected to vote on the new contract during a meeting on Thursday.
