Love Island star reveals she’s FINALLY found love outside of the villa after being pied off by boys and axed from show
MAL Nicol has opened up about the lengths her current man went to while winning her over after failing to form a lasting connection on Love Island.
The ITV reality star came on the show as a bombshell and coupled up with Sammy Root.
However, the Scot didn’t get much time to deepen their relationship as she was axed by the public after only one week in the villa.
Viewers were told to vote for their favourite couples, and then in a shock twist, one person from each pair in the bottom two were sent packing.
This meant Whitney had to wave goodbye to Medhi as Sammy saw Mal off.
At the time she told the Sun: “That connection with Sammy was just so innocent and pure, it was lovely. Short, obviously.
“From the moment I first met him to the last night, we had a very mature conversation. He’s grown so much.
“But It would be so weird if I was crying about Sammy, as I just met him. I met him last week. It would be bizarre if I was crying.
“I genuinely did really like him and it could have gone somewhere but we’ll never know.”
Now she’s glad she saved her tears, as Mal went on to find a real catch outside of Love Island.
She has subscribed to a new TikTok theory, which suggests that if you organically run into someone two times in your life, you are meant to be.
Mal shared a video of herself with her new partner, writing: “The theory of meeting twice is the reason why we are together.
“He literally moved to Dubai!!!”
Fans flocked to the comments to congratulate her on her new relationship.
